FRAN JABARA FAMILY FOUNDATION, INC.
The Fran Jabara Family Foundation, Inc. was founded in 1988 on the principle that all citizens should be given the opportunity to realize the rewards of the American enterprise system. Through family giving and community involvement, the Foundation endeavors to encourage and promote social progress and entrepreneurship, as well as the development and mentoring of youth.
The Foundation provides support for a variety of local, state and national organizations with an emphasis on youth, education, religious and health organizations.
Professor Fran Jabara was instrumental in developing the ideals on which the Foundation was built and it is through his support that so many organizations and individuals have been impacted. Professor Jabara's leadership on the local, national and international level through his long career at Wichita State University, the founding of the Center for Entrepreneurship, as Dean of the College of Business Administration, and as a consultant to thousands of entrepreneurs and companies, encompasses a lifetime of devotion to the betterment of society.
A Kansas native Professor Jabara earned his undergraduate degree from Oklahoma State University and completed his graduate studies at Northwestern University. Professor Jabara is the founder of Jabara Ventures Group, a merchant banking and investment company and has served as a director of numerous corporate and academic boards.
The Fran Jabara Family Foundation, Inc. is guided and administered by the Trustees and Board of Directors, all members of the Fran Jabara Family: Fran and his wife, Geri Jabara, and their three children, Lessa K. Jabara, Lori Jabara Simmons and Harvey Jabara.
